WELCOME HOME VIETNAM VETERANS

When this page was first created in 1997, the technology was cutting edge for the time. Years went by, I got more proficient in web design and posting photos, yet this page was always a project that I intended to revitalize, when I got around to it. Well, I have finally gotten around to it!

What you see now is a more updated version of the AOL based webpage that you have all visited for years. It is by no means perfect. It will be a work in progress and any input will be graciously accepted.

In the coming weeks look for a complete overhaul and many improvements. For starters, I will re-configure all the photos so they will more easily download on the page. Secondly, I have enlisted the aid of several experts in their fields to post some interesting articles, contributions and sub-pages for the site.

So check back often, "A Vietnam War History Page" is growing up!

Mission Statement: Social History and Education concerning the Vietnam War and support of Vietnam Veterans and their issues.

Historian/Collector: I am interested in anything related to the Vietnam War. I am especially interested in: MACV-SOG, The 1st Air Cavalry Division, The Americal Division, ARVN Rangers, ARVN Airborne, Australian Military Forces, and the NVA and VC.

The photo below was taken at a display I organized for the re-dedication of the Philadelphia Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Penn's Landing, PA in 1992.

Besides being a collector, I am also very supportive of veteran organizations and veterans, and often organize events on their behalf. I also strive for education through venues such as displays, living history, magazine articles, collecting, and this web page. This web page is primarily "social history": the weapons used, the uniforms and equipment worn, the food eaten, and anything carried by the soldiers.
